It's Kawasaki Police 1000 from 1984 to 1997. "KZ1000P" is mere model ID for this model (...but often Kawasaki uses KZ1000 on catalog ) Chrome decolate panel was added from 1982 [KZ1000P1], when the base model had changed from KZ1000MkII to KZ1000J.

Good call on the 1000 vs. 1100. I seem to remember the 1100 had a downward point on the side cover where the "KZ" designation was. I've put a few miles in on these...

Difficult to be sure of what it is except that it has a 'shovelhead' engine - 1966-84.
