Yamaha YDS 7250 in Movies
Bôsô panikku: Daigekitotsu
Perhaps the same one: EDIT: And as different bike in different scene (moved here from own page) : Similar one perhaps (on the left): This is a 1972 model bike - either a 250cc DS7 or a 350cc R5. If there is a shot which shows the side panel close up where we can distinguish between a 2 and a 3 we can be more sure. @nzcarnerd - I will take a look if it is visible. One question - under this pic with marked white-green bike: You wrote: 1975 was a typo? Yes a typo, meant 1972.

RD -125 , 250, 350 ? RD-250 1971 trim http://twinviperscollection.com/1971YamahaRD250.jpg
Drum brake + chrome flash on side panel = YDS7
Yamaha, maybe DS 7, 1972? http://motoprofi.com/bikephoto/2461/yamaha_ds_7_1972_1.jpg There is another one of these on the site, also French market, labelled as 250 DS7. Seems to be some uncertainty on model name for the market. In NZ it was YDS7.
L'aile ou la cuisse
- is this the correct name in French market? please confirm* Yamaha 250 DS-7 or 350 R5 (1972 color) Only the differlences between 250 & 350 are 'rear tire size' & '250/350 emblem'... I guess that we will need jplemoine for the confirmation Tout à fait d'accord avec Jun, sauf pour la couleur: plus un modèle 1973... quant à dire si 250 ou 350, là... Merci pour confirmation Was there a color change in 1973 As far as I can see, yes. 1972 were with orange-white gas tank for DS 7 and (I guess because white-black picture) red-white for the R 5... I see. thank you!
La couleur orange et noir n'a été disponible, à ma connaissance, que sur la 350 R5. La 250 DS7 était blanc et violet. Tout au moins pour le marché français.
