The Yamaha XT550 is a single cylinder, four-stroke enduro / offroad motorcycle produced between 1982 and 1983. It could reach a top speed of 149.0 km/h (92.6 mph)

Engine

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 92.0 x 84.0 mm (3.6 x 3.3 inches) stroke result in a displacement of just 558.00 ccm (34.05 cubic inches). The engine features a 8.5:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a overhead cams (ohc).

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain.

Chassis

It came with a 3.00-21 front tire and a 4.60-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake in the front and a expanding brake in the rear. The XT550 is fitted with a 12.00 litres (3.17 gallons) fuel tank.
