The engine was a liquid cooled twin, two-stroke. A 56.4 x 50.0 mm (2.2 x 2.0 inches) stroke result in a displacement of just 250.00 ccm (15.26 cubic inches). The engine features a 5.9:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a membrane & power valve.
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain.
It came with a 100/80-17 front tire and a 120/80-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The TZR250 is fitted with a 16.00 litres (4.23 gallons) fuel tank.

It's sad that no one except for me sees a flag with the Kymco logo in the back... Admins, the make is solved! And what? The flag proves that the bike is from that make? Or did you check it? My response to that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Re72di5phM0 These must be Kymcos, because here is a 2000 Kymco ZX Fever 2 which resembles the scooter in the lower left corner: http://databikes.com/imgs/a/b/r/s/z/kymco__zx_fever_2_2000_1_lgw.jpg (I know,we're looking for the sporter.)
Of the 3 bikes facing away, middle & left are Yamaha TZR 250's. I think right could be a Honda CB400 SF.

Yamaha RD500? In first picture (blurred, I'm sorry) I think we can read T2R or TZR; 2 and 3 pictures from rear views 1989 Yamaha TZR 125 or 250.
