Engine
The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 59.0 x 54.8 mm (2.3 x 2.2 inches) stroke result in a displacement of just 599.00 ccm (36.55 cubic inches). The engine features a 12.0:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain.
Chassis
It came with a 110/70-vr17-240 front tire and a 140/60-vr18-240 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. 4-piston calipers in the front and a single disc. single piston caliper in the rear. The FZR600 is fitted with a 18.16 litres (4.80 gallons) fuel tank. The bike weighs just 179.2 kg (395.0 pounds). The wheelbase is 1,425 mm (56.1 inches) long.
