Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, two-stroke. A 56.0 x 50.6 mm (2.2 x 2.0 inches) stroke result in a displacement of just 498.00 ccm (30.39 cubic inches). The engine features a 7.0:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a rotary valves & variable discharge openings.

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain.

Chassis

It came with a 110/90-16 front tire and a 120/90-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The RG500 Gamma is fitted with a 22.00 litres (5.81 gallons) fuel tank.
