The Suzuki GSX1100 is a in-line four, four-stroke trial motorcycle produced between 1980 and 1980. It could reach a top speed of 219.0 km/h (136.1 mph)

Engine

The engine was a air cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 72.0 x 66.0 mm (2.8 x 2.6 inches) stroke result in a displacement of just 1074.00 ccm (65.54 cubic inches). The engine features a 9.5:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain.

Chassis

It came with a 3.50-19 front tire and a 4.50-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The GSX1100 is fitted with a 24.00 litres (6.34 gallons) fuel tank.

The Professionals

Square headlight = Suzuki GS1100 about 1980. GSX1100 in the UK Assume same bike in ep.4.15 PGH994V , last MOT 2011 but on SORN so likely still with us. Nice to know it's still out there, these and the later EFE motors will go to 1400 and take turbos without self destruct, the 1980's drag racer's weapon of choice.

At first thought Martin Shaw was riding the bike and impressed with his zooming about ,but not sure now ,thumb one no gloves jacket unfastened and not billowing. I know his oppo Collins was a real bike enthusiast .

No, I don't believe it is a Katana, the handlebars (and therefore top yoke) are wrong. It's a 1982 GSX1100E with Katana-esque fairing fitted. Link to "www.suzukicycles.org"
