Convoy escort rider (or riders - maybe 2 bikes?? Let's hope these are all the same ...). Looks like Norton written on tank above?? RMG 875 = March 39 Middlesex series issued to War Department - same series appears on some of the trucks..

With that many 16Hs built it's little wonder Messrs Pride and Shark in Stockwell were still selling such ex-WD stock around 1959/60 for £39-10-0 or so. Never saw many WD Nortons on the road but may well have mistaken them for M20s, of which 126,000-odd were made.
