Drive
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain.
Chassis
It came with a 3.25-19 front tire and a 3.75-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The Z500 is fitted with a 15.00 litres (3.96 gallons) fuel tank.
