The Kawasaki Z1000 is a in-line four, four-stroke naked bike motorcycle produced between 1976 and 2019.

Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 77.0 x 56.0 mm (3.0 x 2.2 inches) stroke result in a displacement of just 1043.00 ccm (63.64 cubic inches). The engine features a 11.8:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 190/50-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. dual semi-floating 310mm petal discs in the front and a single disc. single 250mm petal disc, caliper:single-piston in the rear. The front suspension was a 41 mm inverted fork with top-out springs, stepless compression and rebound damping and spring preload adjustability while the rear was equiped with a horizontal back-link, gas-charged shock, with stepless rebound damping and spring preload adjustability The Z1000 is fitted with a 17.00 litres (4.49 gallons) fuel tank. The wheelbase is 1,435 mm (56.5 inches) long.

I think this fuel tank is taken from Zephyr too. Mechanical components of Zephyr are based on these Z1000 and former Z750 FXII model. (K)Z1000R was based on (K)Z1000J and released as AMA Superbike anniversary model in US. Limited numbers are sold for two years and still a bit expensive to use for these project.

RoboCop

Kawasaki Z1000SX Filmed behind the Medical Sciences Building at University of Toronto. Silly to have red daytime running lights in the front. They should be the same color as the four bright headlights under. He/it has augmented vision so full headlights are not necessarily needed but they are used in some scenes.

La soupe aux choux

Raté, c'est pas une 1300 Z (rappel: six cylindres en ligne refroidis à eau...mais une 1000 ST (à cardan) de 1979. Couleurs caractéristiques... et échappement pas d'origine (4 en 1 Devil? ou Marshall?) Première image de la frise: une Yamaha 1100 XS encadrée par deux Suzuki 1100 GSX. Le temps de dépouiller les autres... On distingue sur le troisième une BMW R 100 RT (1978), et sur la quatrième, celle placée à gauche (réservoir bleu et phare jaune), Kawasaki 650 ZB2. RAS pour la cinquième, mis à part le casque: un GPA G2 typique de l'époque... Pic.4 - beside Kawasaki 650 ZB2 I see one Moto Guzzi California - i think Möglich... War aber nicht sicher, aber das scheint wahrscheinlich... Que ces motos, on peut leur créer des fiches, non? Merki d'avance! Est-ce que ça en vallait vraiment la peine ? Alors qu'on râlait encore récemment au sujet de la profusion de véhicules d'arrière-plan Véhicules courants, style Renault 4 ou Ford Crown Victoria. Mais là, il s'agit de motos rares sur le forum, voire jamais encore répertoriées...

C'est surtout que je pense à des scènes genre /vehicle_36878-Alfa-Romeo-2000-Spider-Veloce-1971.html où on a pas mal de voitures intéressantes, mais de là à leur donner à chacune une page...

Die Hard with a Vengeance

Any of the bikes; only one survives: 2 Kawasaki's on the left, a (K)Z1000ST and a (K)Z750B2, can't make out what's between them, to the right there's an XS650 (can't tell if it's an SE/F or SG) then a 1983 Suzuki GSX750E (Just GS in the US?) and finally a Yamaha Virago far right, engine size could be 750, 920, 1000 or 1100. The first one of these two is the survivor then? (I guess we can list this one, having a little more onscreen time then )

The Road Warrior

Maybe a Kawa with those spoke wheels A gauche, ça pourrait être une Kawasaki Z, 400 ou 500 (ou peut-etre 250 ?) ou une KZ 440 ? Le moteur se rapproche beaucoup de celui des Kawa, mais les jantes peuvent faire penser à une Suzuki GN 400 (ou 450) ou GS 400 E voire GS 425 ou 450 E/L (existe jusqu'en 850/ + de 1000cc ?). Il y avait aussi la Suzuki GR Twin 650 à l'époque. En tout cas ces motos sont modifiées et celle de droite est surement japonaise (Kawasaki ou Suzuki je pense). looking at what is visible of the frame, and that crazy seat, i'd say its a yamaha xs750, round about late 70's C'est surement une Suzuki GS550L de la fin des 70's, début 80's

Its a Kawasaki Z1000 with after market wheels and king & queen seat. As the engine cases are painted black its possibly an American version classified LTD before they fitted the smaller rear wheel on later models. @ Billybobm it can't be a XS750 as you can clearly see the chain guard and that mode had a shaft drive
