Harley-Davidson unknown in Movies
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. EP: 1.15
A bit of a confusing one, a flathead '45 with FL front end? Or it's a servicar with one wheel missing?
Republic of Doyle EP: 4.05
It is a Harley Dyna of some sort but, like most of them, has been mildly customised making it difficult to date.
Sea Patrol EP: 2.04
Crime Against Joe
the one know as "Panhead" ?
Do you mean something like "1949 Harley-Davidson FL Hydra Glide Panhead"?
Definitely a Harley. Fat Boy?
Looks like a 2003 100th Anniversary Edition, anyone able to confirm? http://www.lohmanusa.com/Motorcycles/2003FatBoy1a.jpg
Flodder EP: 4.12
seems same bike It has rear suspension struts - seen in the thumb pic - so not a Softail. Maybe a Super Glide??
like the Police bike conversion short time ago...
Legends of the Superheroes
Not a stock Panhead ('48-65). The rear "bobbed" fender could either be a custom piece, pulled off a later model HD or, as was originally done, taking the front fender and mounting it backwards over the rear tire. The front rim is thinner than what the stock FL or FLH would be. No way to classify year except on specific components
Depeche Mode: A Question of Time
Seen throughout the clip... Some kind of road movie... Very nice bike... "Shovelhead"Harley, circa 1948-1949 wrong.there is no such thing as a shovelhead made from 48-49..it would either have to be a panhea dor a flat head for those years.unfortunately i can not see the engine good enough to say which is is.it could be a flathead, panhead or possibly a knucklehead harley davidson Francis, y a un truc pour toi ici!
Renegade EP: 5.02
VéloSolex... Nah, Winnebago. Two similar but different models. I am not sure exactly but maybe Electra Glide Classic on the left. On the right? Note the different fairing. pick the one which can be ID and if both are ID the rarer I'd choose the purple one. A few years too early for a Street Glide...
10.35 there are more bikes parked if there is something interesting to add https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFDli37G63U
any of them that are recognizable. Harley, Harley, Harley, Harley et Harley Never mind the bikes - great legs!
Mr Turbobanana wins the "I know what you're all thinking really" award for 2009. Who cares about a load of motor bikes?
The Penal Code
Same 1929 Packard Custom Eight Roadster .Pictures to regroup.
This is for the police motor bike
Looks like a custom Harley.
Panhead motor? Maybe, but my poor old eyes can't recognize it, today...
The Waltons EP: 05.09
Back of red bike. From what little we can see of them they all appear to be Harley-Davidsons.
One bike a little closer
Mr. Moto Takes a Vacation
Indian Scout ? The SFPD was one of the founding departments in the field of utilizing Police motorcycles
Harley; Indians have a leaf spring front suspension and the gear shift on the other side
Side valve Harley-Davidson - I guess a WLA?? Except that the front forks are much newer than the rest of the bike.
Not a WLA engine nor front fork and beam
What! No Beer?
Harley-Davidson circa 1930. Can't see which model.
Interesting roadster at left - Maybe Studebaker? Or Nash, or Oakland?
2 or 3 options for each, need shots with rear suspension (Softail?) and/or luggage on the FL. White is probably a Softail Std (FXST), 2 tone could be FLSTC, FLH or FLHR
The World at War EP: 24
Pre-war Harley-Davidson. That tank badge is a clue to the year - just have to find out which one!
Sliders EP: 4.01
On the left could be an FXR Low Rider and on the right could be a Sportster.
Softail Custom or Wide Glide
It Happened One Night
Grille and mascot have a look of Hispano-Suiza; comments?
The car is the V16 Cadillac seen in another pic. The bikes are most likely Harleys.
Going from the front forks, possibly another Harley-Davidson, again 1928 or later because of the front brake, but difficult to be certain.
Galactica 1980 EP: 1
This one has a drum front brake and maybe the conversion from foot clutch to hand clutch - so is an earlier model?
Highway Patrol EP: 1.27
Saw that episode yesterday. The guy on the Harley is none other than Clint Eastwood, making his television debut.
Thumbnail shows '46 to '48 Dodge.
Yes it is /vehicle_343402-Dodge-Custom-D-24-C-1946.html ...but the pic is for the bikes
Not the Harley Davidson? Öhm? It is listed as such because it says so on the tank...
That is what I see on the tank, but ha ha I am not really sure.
Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur
For sure this is American Motorcycle, but is it Cooper or Harley-Davidson?
The Bride Comes Home
A Harley Davidson by the look of the front end, but too dark to identify the model
And that was just about the best shot, too.
Marry Me EP: 1.06
Not sure which one should be listed.
It is a Harley Davidson hydra glide.
Definitely a Panhead! just look at the top of the cylinders! Link to "image.hotbikeweb.com"
both are evo's in custom wishbone hardtail frames
Sons of Anarchy EP: 1.04
Mmm a really nice bobber, this is what I like to see! Could skip the sissy bar though... Chopper sur base moteur Evolution (1984-1999)
Starsky & Hutch
Second from the right could be a Triumph but the rest are Harleys - all customised so much that it is difficult to date them from this picture.
Hey Arnold! EP: 5.15
V-twin configuration seems to narrow it down to either a Crocker or (more likely) a Harley.
Le retour des Charlots
Massey-Ferguson... Close, but Harley Davidson...
One is slow, noisy & agricultural, the other is a tractor.
The First Purge
Solo is either a Street Glide or Road Glide, need a front end shot. 2 up is probably a Road King
FLHR Road King (centre) + FLHX Street Glide (right).
The Forbidden Dimensions
Jeep Grand Cherokee [ZJ] on the left, also on the left at /vehicle_825742-Ford-Ranger-1998.html
Jerry Cotton - Dynamit in grüner Seide
Not an Indian - the fork tell it is a Harley-Davidson - circa mid 1930s going by the colour.
Walk Softly, Stranger
There are no good pictures of it. Try to find some revealing details here too:
It's a late 30's to mid 40's Harley-Davidson. Not sure of the model though.
Modern Family EP: 5.20
Looks like another Harley. What are the differences between motorcycles sold in Australia vs. those in the US, other than metric gauges?
Benny, from Panama
More research needed but this is a Harley-Davidson from before 1920 I think as it has a hand oil pump. Electric lights were available from 1915.
Married with Children EP: 7.21
Harley (Softail Deuce?)
Definitely not a Softail as you can see the rear suspension units. It looks to have been mildly customised but I think it is an FXR Low Rider Custom model from either side of 1990.
Harleys I think. I can see no sign of the distinctive Indian front spring.
My, ztracený holky
1947 Harley-Davidson WL 750ccm = 45 cubic inches Link to "www.yesterdays.nl" Link to "databikes.com"
what makes it special is hydraglide fender on a springer fork allready so has to be 1949+ the position of headlamp and horn should be vice versa on a WL... But it is the small engine with springer fork and tiny brake...
Harley Davidson, either a Panhead or maybe a Shovelhead by the age & size? (Too little detail seen of Engine)
Pre WW2 model UL? Or maybe a WW2 era WLA which has been updated and had mild custom treatment.
America in Color EP: 2
Harley, can't see the motor so ??? Presented as FDR and entourage arriving at the Grand Coulee Dam project, 4 August 1934. 26:29 Could be either RL (45 cid) or VL 61/74 cid).
I guess should be in keeping with other presidential escords.
Picture is back to front because the Harley valve gear is on the right side of the engine. Bike looks to be one of the Iron series. Harley Sportster XL 883 N Iron
I see where you're coming from, this being maybe a Spaghetti Harley SX, problem is I can't find any with radial fins on the head or exhaust on the right..... Same bike again? /vehicle.php?id=386091
I don't think it's any of those, I think it's fitted with a Minarelli P6 motor so there are dozens of potential manufacturers, Fantic, Garelli etc....
Kidô keisatsu patorebâ EP: OVA6
@the sad biker
It's meant to be a Harley, a bit too imaginary to give it a model name.
The Girl Who Played with Fire
Chopper sur base moteur Harley-davidson
Isn't Chopper the model name? It's listed as extra info.
Seen at the beginning and end of the film, and only in close-up, post gang war with Bruce and Wendy:
Confusing model, indications are FLSTS Heritage Springer, introduced in 1997, FXSTS Softail Springer was introduced in '88 but stuff like light bar, heavy valanced mudguard, brake caliper etc are wrong. ???
Tin Star EP: 1.04
Seems too wide for a Sporster so something FX, maybe FXDL Low Rider, need a little more......
Heres a side view /vehicle_1210566.html
Burn 'Em Up Barnes EP: 3
Anyone's choice, except for the far right one which is the same one that was used by Salt earlier.
They are all Harleys - but difficult to pin down the models. They all look to be customised to varying degrees. The one at far left might be a Sportster but the others are definitely big blocks.
Matlock EP: 5.10
From "The Biker" (#5.10): It's a Harley, not enough to pin a model designation on it. So Harley-Davidson Custom Chopper. I don't think so, it's probably a derivative of the FX Super Glide range, just not enough to be definitive. I prefer to see serious modifications before Custom Choppering a bike. If you want we can list it as Harley-Davidson without a model name. That'll do nicely thanks I'll probably do the same with all the other Harley unknowns, I'll bet even the Harley anoraks struggle.
That is to say, just Harley-Davidson without the "unknown".
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
A première vue trois choppers sur base Harley La moto à droite est à l'origine un modèle Softail i wish i was that bike I'll take this one then: /vehicle_7725-Honda-CL-350-Scrambler-1968.html no way i'd still be that bike i think, from what ive seen , that the bike is only seen once with her draped over it. so it would be , i think a 2 star bike. YEs 2 Stars
She can straddle my Harley Davidson any time...
Jack's bike Basé sur une Harley-Davidson Built by Orange County Choppers So harley Davidson Chopper
The Doctor Takes a Wife
It is a Harley, but can't see which model.
Can't see the engine so guesswork, EL, UL or VL.
The Marine 5: Battleground
Is my (limited) knowledge of Harleys all wrong? This has a peak over the headlight (Sportster) and instruments in the tank?
Harley-Davidson. Location is very interesting: Rio de Janeiro, Urca, near by Iacht Club, a small bridge that sorrounds a square bassin for little boats.
Pensacola: Wings of Gold EP: 2.08
I'm gonna say this is a modified Electra-Glide, as I understand, modern Harley Springers (88->) only ever came with a Softail rear end?
Monster Garage EP: 3.8
West Coast Chopper......CFL I think
yeah, its not a harley at all. the motor is S&S and the rest is west coast choppers.
Keek op de Week EP: 76
Model JDS outfit, like all Harley's, the model designation codes are almost impenetrable.
My First Wedding
Most likely a Harley Davidson, it has that basic H.D. shape, as well as having a "S&S" engine. il s'agit d'un Sportster "Sportster" je suppose?
Customized Shovelhead........Wide Glide ? ....FLH ?
Dark Skies EP: 1.16
Encore une Harley Police. La photo ne permet pas de dire s'il s'agit d'une Hydra-Glide, d'une Duo-Glide.
The Invisible Man
Harley-Davidson yes, because of the colour I would think not before about 1930.
American Pickers EP: 2.04
Looks like a Harley Davidson "Magnum" to me: Sportster cylinders and heads on a WLA crackcase and gearbox
Crank: High Voltage
harley-davidson Electra Glide
Road Trip: Beer Pong
They are all Harleys. The one on the left is a Sportster and the red one second from right is a Softail Classic but the rest look the FL series Electra Glides or similar.
second from right, not a harley
Red Widow EP: 1.02
Star? rear cylinder head looks panhead
Harley Panhead, Duo Glide ou Hydra Glide ???
I think it is a Harley but there does not seem to be a good clear shot of it. Looks to date from the early 1930s.
It's quite tempting to call it 'Harley-Davidson'.
Yes it is a Harley but we can't see enough to be sure of the model.
The Ballad of Cable Hogue
It is an World War 1 era Harley-Davidson but we can't see enough of it to be sure of the model.
Harley-Davidson customised. I wonder if these are a standard line from some manufacturer. I saw two just like this here in NZ this morning.
Achtung, fertig, WK!
Modified Harley, starting point Softail Deluxe (FLDE) or Heritage Softail Classic (FLSTC)?
Uomini si nasce poliziotti si muore
The fueltank seems to have the AFM-Harley Davidson colours, but the engine and exhaust don't seem to match those made by Aermacchi. It looks more like a Sachs or Minarelli engine.
That is my problem too: engine maybe Sachs and exhaust on the wrong side. But in a short scene you can see the Harley Davidson writings also on the back of the seat.
very likely same bike /vehicle_524181.html Non ce n'est pas la même moto, la fourche est différente, fourche hydraulique pour l'Hydra Glide (d'où son nom), fourche springer pour celle-là Moto plus ancienne, sûrement un Knucklehead ??? Yes, definitely an older Harley, hard to see which model though.
Nearest match I can find is FLD Switchback although details like black fork legs & jewellery on front mudguard don't.
Lee Kernaghan feat. Dierks Bentley: Scars
In the 5th thumb, you can read the word "Low Rider" so I guess this bike can be either a 1340 Low Rider, 1450 Dyna Low Rider or an FX Low Rider.
El ministerio del tiempo EP: 01.04
It's curious to see a Spanish Warrior of the XVI century, riding a XX century Harley Davidson throught Castilian fields in XV century and saying "I love the Future!!" :D Unfortunatelly is impossible to get a proper screenshot of it
Penetrator 2: Grudge Day
Note the gas price - how things have changed! The bike is a much modified Harley-Davidson - almost looks as if ti might have a turbocharger hanging off the right side.
Green Acres EP: 6.18
Harley? Yes it is a Harley but from this angle it is ahrd to pick which model. It has no front brake so is no later than about 1928 when the front brake first became available.
Any chance it's this one? /vehicle_59130-Harley-Davidson-JD-1925.html Maybe I've just got the Andy Griffith Show on my mind because Hal Smith (the actor who played Mayberry's "Otis Campbell") is on the motorcycle.
Billy Joel: Uptown Girl
Billy Joel once in a Motorcycle accident on his 1977 Harley Davidson XLCR Cafe Racer on April 15, 1982 when a woman by the name of Cornellia Blumm had ran the red light, and hit Billy when he was going through the green light at the light. After the motorcycle accident Billy had flew right over her car, and landed on his back now braking both his left wrist and his hand.
Bearcats! EP: 1.13
Family Guy EP: 3.14
Generic Harley Davidson? Agreed, although having visible rear suspension, it has to be an FX type - maybe a Fat Bob? nzcarnerd has a point, visible shocks means it's not a Softail, but the fat forks, fat and low front fender, and tri-light setup suggest FL-series. Absence of a fairing suggests Electra-Glide Sport or Road King, with saddlebags removed.
Tornado - Der Zorn des Himmels
Maybe Fat Bob or Fat Boy??
Older......oil tank is Electra Glide/Shovelhead era.....some elements are FLH Electra Glide , some are Wide Glide.....custom
Even though the cars in this movie are all American, I think this bike is British - maybe a Norton?? It looks like a Harley Davidson to me, but I can't be sure about the model (perhaps a model B single, but it could also be a model D twin). Are there any better pictures that show the engine? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-y0uYfY7kOI
This scene was the reenactment of the attempted murder of Hale Keith; a off duty motorcycle policeman who was shot by Baby Face Nelson during the Sioux Falls robbery. In shooting, Hale Keith was hit in his; abdomen, right leg just six inches below the hip, his right wrist and arm just below the elbow. And like this scene; as Keith fell against his bike, Nelson did laughed before shouting "I got one" twice.
