Harley-Davidson Electra Glide in Movies
The Girl on a Motorcycle
I will reconsider my opinions on the bike, ... Finally, it's not bad imdb.com says it's a Harley-Davidson. Harley Davidson Electra Glide http://img.2dehands.be/f/normal/11497292.jpg
The one she rides looks to be an older model than this one. Maybe, correct spelling is Electroglide? Just doubt. Some close-ups on the Harley 160 km / h (100 miles) with an Electra Glide on small country roads!
"Ya in the cinema we see here" The tragic end of the Harley and the pilot The bike is registered in the Bas-Rhin At the beginning of the film it is Alain Delon who drives the Harley Alain Delon has, after the filming, bought the Harley. We see him here, a few years later, with his wife Nathalie Delon. For the sequence of the accident the Electra Glide is replaced by a WL (forties) A publicity photo of the film. Alain Delon does not appear in the film in this outfit without wordplay? A photo taken from the trailer
The bike in this movie appears to be a 1967 model - a different tank badge to the '66.

Harley-Davidson Electra Glide
This is a 1979 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide FLH, available in 1200cc or 1340cc.
60's FLH Electra Glide? There's a Honda CX 500 C hiding at the back in the 1st thumb, a bit more interesting (to me anyway).

Harley twin cooled oviousely Link to "2.bp.blogspot.com" cause it has watercooled outlets combined with aircooling, but not yet available in 2010, this is prototype than?! http://thekneeslider.com/harley-davidson-water-cooled-heads-patent/ Il s'agit d'une Electra Glide (à refroidissement par air)
Looks like a 100th Anniversary Edition.

My first bet would be to call them Harley-Davidson Electra-Glides. Comments?
C'es OK. Electra Glide Police
Harley-Davidson FLH Electra Glide (1978- from the square air cleaner case) FLH Electra Glide Heritage Edition (sortie seulement en 1981)
This should be a two-star vehicle. Rocky only uses it for this scene but he's shown driving around in a black and gold Harley-Davidson for the rest of the movie. Background ad:

Harley Electra Glide.
As it has a badge instead of a painted-on logo, it is - as I was suspecting - an Electra Glide Ultra Classic.

FL Electra Glide, it's possible that it's FLH (H for Handlebar [fairing]) although even the Harley cognoscenti don't seem to be able to agree.
Class of 1984
I presume with the numbers on the bikes they ae local police rather than highway patrol. They look like one of the Harley-Davidson FLH variants.

Not an Electra-Glide?
We Own the Night

Harley Shovelhead custom chopper, given the 16" front wheel it probably started life as an Electra glide.
Reform School Girl
Could be this one /vehicle_426829-Harley-Davidson-Duo-Glide-1958.html
Duo would be right for the period but this looks like a later Electra-Glide to me.

Yup. A Street Glide would not have police lights.
Has a starter solenoid...Electra Glide
Änglagård - andra sommaren
I think that is an old Shovelhead engine so it is pre-1984 and as it also has a kick starter it is pre-1966. It probably started life as an Duo-Glide.
Had another check on this. It seems that kick starters were still available into the 1970s. This bike appears to have disc brakes but I can't see if it is belt drive. It was probably an Electra Glide from the late 1970s.

harley davidson 1958 FL ?
This one has a 'generator' shovelhead engine so it is 1966-69.
1965 Electra Glide
I think that is correct, it's hard to tell from this pictures what engine it has, but regarding the paint scheme it could be a 1966 Harley Davidson FL Electra Glide.
Harley-Davidson for sure but as the Electra-Glide only began in 1965 this could be an earlier Duo-Glide.

Any shots of the luggage? Soft bags = FLSTC, hard luggage = FLHS.
I thought the last V twin Harley built for specific military purposes was the XLA? Can't see if these are Panheads or Shovels so they could be either (FLH) Duo Glides or Electra glides, possibly a derivation of the FLHP Police Special?

Harley-Davidson FL? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harley-Davidson_FL
Looks like a shovelhead motor when zoomed in (correct for period? Early 80's judging by Merc' & Patrol?) Electra Glide Sport wouldn't have screen, foot boards or running lamps so that leaves Electra Glide (FLH) sans luggage.
Harley Davidson FLH Electra Glide (1970-) Harley began to use FRP after they merged with the AMF (American Machine and Foudry Company). I think...probably this FRP wind-shield appeard in 1970...

Harley-Davidson probably. Unless somebody has evidence that DCPD has other models in their fleet, I wouldn't doubt it for a second. They're probably prop motorcycles, not the real deal.

If you want to know why the bike Ben Stiller is riding doesn't have a page... .. it clearly doesn't deserve one. Shovelhead motor, any clear shots of the front end? Sorry. This was the only other shot I was able to get.
It's good enough, FLHS Electra-Glide Sport. '79-82.
duo or electra glide ? difficile de le dire Almost could be a panhead engine? But I am not sure when that style of headlamp cowl began.
It's a Shovelhead motor therefore Electra Glide
Harley-Davidson FL series - maybe a Road King? FLH
Shovelhead motor so pre '85, those 16 spoke mags were around 77-82. Difficult to tell with stripped out bikes but this probably used to be an FLH Electra-Glide, just possibly an FLT Tour Glide.
Kawasaki Polise 1000
Harley-Davidson Electra Glide (1965-) Link to "img.2dehands.be" It's based on Electra Glide model of from 1965, but some parts (rear swing arm, suspension, brake...) are changed so I won't point the model code & year. Sorry, please change the year to '1966'. This 'Shovelhead' engine was introduced as '1966 model' 1965 was my mistake. No problem Thanks. Thank you (and good night )
This is not a 1966. 66 thru 69 Shovelheads had different engine cases(generator), Engine cases(stator) like in the pic were used from '70 to '85. Rear disc brake introduced in '73. calipers were changed in '83. That makes it '73-'82
Scène coupée au montage Just in deleted scenes? I could've sworn this appeared in the actual movie, as a background vehicle in the first scene with the motorcycle cop.
It did, but it was a bit to blurry and far background to tell what it was. BTW it also appeared as a background vehicle in the 2nd seen with the cop, but also a bit to far background.

Not sure of the exact model but maybe a customised Electra Glide. It has belt drive and a disc front brake so is at least 1985. Disk brake Shovel head with old style calipers ........ 1970 to 1979 Electra Glide
I guess then it must have an upgrade on its final drive? When did Harley get its first disc front brake?

Too blurred to be sure but I think it is not a Harley. The fairing and sidecases look like Harley however. They do not look like the ones used by Moto Guzzi, Kawasaki or Honda. Aftermarket, aftermarket...
No aftermarket. That's a mid 70's Electra Glide.

Ahh, you're right. I had forgotten all about that movie.
I know this is for the bike, but there's a 1961 Dodge Dart in the first thumbnail. I can't see enough of the side to determine the trim level (Seneca, Pioneer, or Phoenix).

The primary drive case is a total giveaway. 65 Eletra-Glide was a Panhead with that primary It is in fact a 1965 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide 74 cubic inch FLH Panhead with a 4 speed foot clutch, and hand shift. It was originally a police special and still has the original speedometer showing 48,257 miles. If you could see more detail, you might notice an inspection plug at the front of the primary to grease the sprocket found only on 65 and early 66 models. You have to remove the primary cover to adjust the clutch because of the screwless derby cover. The movie was filmed in both Toronto Ontario, and New York City. Dennis Quaid enjoyed riding the bike and learned the foot clutch very quickly. How do I know this? It's my motorcycle and I accompanied it on all movie shoots.

Melrose Place EP: 2.04
On the left looks like the 1969 Triumph TR6 seen elsewhere. On the right a Harley-Davidson FLSTC 1340 Heritage Softail Classic. Some one may know the year from the paint colour.
absolutely not a heritage softail..........electraglide FLH
The Professionals EP: 4.02
Electra-Glide but which year? Probably mid to late '70s like the rest of the bikes in this episode.
The motorcycle is my 1974 Harley-Davidson FLH 1200 Electra Glide, UK registration HGC 47N. At the time of filming it was owned by Jim Dowdall, a very successful UK movie stuntman and stunt coordinator - see his filmography in the IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0235695/. Jim had the machine repainted from the original metallic blue to police birch white some time after these images were taken. The Harley was used in at least two episodes of 'The Professionals', and appeared in several 'Top of the Pops', 'Red Dwarf (see this website)'Hart to Hart', in movies including 'The Wall', 'The Aerodrome', and also magazine ads. I bought the motorcycle from Jim around 10 years ago, and have repainted it US police black and white since. Breakfast on Pluto
Looks Harley-ish. The paint colour would suggest about 1964 -ish. Shovelhead Electra Glide Shovelhead is not the model, Electra Glide is. Even though shovelhead was a commonly used name I don't think it is official. This makes the assumption that it has the electric starter. Was it standard at the time or still an option?
Official ? Shovelhead is the nickname for the big twin engines produced from 1966 to 1984. Electra Glides have been made from 1965 to 2012 with four different engines. So to say Shovelhead Electra Glide it's obvious this bike is from somewhere between '66 and '84. The pictures don't show enough to narrow it anymore. Nothing is assumed, ......Shovelhead with the oil tank used with battery, the primary drive used with starter, the 16 inch front wheel and overall style ............66 to 84 Electra Glide.

Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown
"Esa tia va fumada!" This is funny at this time in the morning American people go off and the website is now for the Europeans, well its still a bit early, im a bit early riser, but thats it "Harley David... son of a bitch" (S.Gainsbourg)... wait for byke specialists What are you saying Sixcyl, haha nothing special, but when I see or hear about Harley Davidson, I can't help thinking of Serge Gainsbourg's song
