The BMW R50 is a two cylinder boxer, four-stroke allround motorcycle produced between 1955 and 1960. It could reach a top speed of 140.0 km/h (87.0 mph)


The engine was a air cooled two cylinder boxer, four-stroke. A 68.0 x 68.0 mm (2.7 x 2.7 inches) stroke result in a displacement of just 494.00 ccm (30.14 cubic inches). The engine features a 6.8:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).


The bike has a 4-speed transmission. The final drive was via shaft drive (cardan).


It came with a 3.50-18 front tire and a 3.50-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a cartridge while the rear was equiped with a twin shock-swingarm The wheelbase is 1,380 mm (54.3 inches) long.

pas R51/3 (on distingue bien la fourche Earles) z'ont surtout eu des 500 en 1963 les /2 étaient, un peu, trop récentes

Moto Guzzi Eldorado 850 Police with Sidecar 1974 LAPD had 1000ccm but 850ccm normally sorry, but looks more BMW of the /2 range, R50 or R60 think the sidecar is a Velorex like those used by Jawa Indeed, it appears to have an Earles style front fork, so it is likely to be a BMW R50 or R60, the sidecar is a Velorex model 560

was my first thought too, due to diameter of front brake, was irritade by design of US police, as they had Guzzis BTW have H0 model of italian Police, the model maker used BMW to fake Moto Guzzi
