BMW R 50/2 in Movies

Engine

The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, two cylinder horizontally opposed Boxer, pushrod operated 2 valves per cylinder.. A 68 x 68 mm stroke result in a displacement of just 494 cc / 30.1 cu in.. The engine features a 6.8:1 compression ratio.

Chassis

It came with a 3.50 -18" front tire and a 4.00 -18" rear tire. Stopping was achieved via ∅200mm Drum, duplex full hub in the front and a ∅200mm Drum, simplex full hub in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equiped with a Long swing arm with suspension units and oil pressure shock absorbers The R 50/2 is fitted with a 17 liters / 4.49 US gal fuel tank.

my pleasure... BTW this show is quite good the first 3 seasons, plenty of bike action, hot chicks , great music , seasons 4-5 seems like a completely different show and most of the cast changed , it's rather crap

I like the Simca behind the two people, is there a better shot of it? Most likely they are end of 1960 R50/2's. They have Earles-fork so they could also be R60/2 or R69/2 (same frame but 600cc with different output). They're pre-1970 (six fins on the air-cooled heads). The size of the heads seems to be small for a 600cc, so the R50/2 is more likely.

Small correnction, I meant end of the 60's not end of 1960. So the model should be corrected to 1966-1969, not 1960. Thanks
