Engine

The engine was a liquid cooled twin, four-stroke. A 82.0 x 75.6 mm (3.2 x 3.0 inches) stroke result in a displacement of just 798.00 ccm (48.69 cubic inches). The engine features a 12.0:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain.

Chassis

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 180/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. floating discs. four-piston calipers. radially mounted. in the front and a single disc. abs. floating disc. single-piston caliper. in the rear. The front suspension was a upside-down fork while the rear was equiped with a die-cast aluminium double-sided swing-arm, central spring strut, spring preload hydraulically and steplessly adjustable via handwheel, adjustable rebound damping The F800R is fitted with a 15.00 litres (3.96 gallons) fuel tank. The wheelbase is 1,520 mm (59.8 inches) long.
