The Aprilia SR50 is a single cylinder, two-stroke scooter motorcycle produced between 1995 and 2006.

Engine

A 40.0 x 39.3 mm (1.6 x 1.5 inches) stroke result in a displacement of just 49.00 ccm (2.99 cubic inches). The engine features a 11.5:1 compression ratio.

Drive

The bike has a automatic transmission. The final drive was via belt.

Chassis

It came with a 130/60-13 front tire and a 130/60-13 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a hydraulic fork while the rear was equiped with a engine unit acting as swingarm The SR50 is fitted with a 7.00 litres (1.85 gallons) fuel tank. The wheelbase is 1,290 mm (50.8 inches) long.

A some cheap Chinese scooter? No way! I know scooters, and those thing weren't around back then. I'd say Aprilia SR 50. Are you sure? IIRC the first low bargain no-name-scooters appeared in the late 90ies in the European supermarkets. I mean these modern ones, they came on the market in 2007 or so. It looks very modern for it's age
